Day 185 / Green Lake view

Our first full day in Seattle. And it started out awesome. It was windy, and chilly in the shade, but in the sun, it was lovely. So we headed out to Green Lake for a nice walk, and E was able to go for a run. After a couple of hours, it was time for E and I to head to lunch. We went to Duke’s Chowder House. We had chowder and wine and it was very, very tasty. And while we sat looking out over the lake, the rain drops started to fall. And then they fell for a few hours. I’m not complaining. It just makes us re-evaluate plans.

My day started with my friend giving me a hard time about how I would choose just one photo for today. After all, there’s the world’s most adorable Wheaton terrier, Lulu. OMG she is soooo cute! But her mother wants to give her a bath to make sure she’s as pretty as possible before she’s ready for her close-up. Then there was Green Lake. Which is a gorgeous area. Finally, we’re supposed to go sailing tonight. They call it a duck dodge. E did it last time we were here, and said it’s more of a drunk dodge. But it’s still raining. So I’m not sure if there will be sailing.

So the process of elimination brings us to a photo from Green Lake. I had a couple to choose from. So I’ll probably add a Seattle page at the top. If you haven’t checked out the other pages, please do. I tried to be selective, so hopefully it’s not obnoxious.

  1. Green Lake is close to our house and sometimes when I have to go south for any reason, I’ll detour off 99 and go around the lake because I love it. Duck dodging? I’m assuming you’re referring to those obnoxious land/water asshole things. I hate those. I reeeaaaallly hate them. Glad you’re having fun! Can’t wait until we get together for drunk…errrr…wine inspired photography!

    • No, the duck dodge is a regular Tuesday night race on Lake Union. Our friends have a sailboat. Lots of crazy sailing type peeps go out and try not to run into each other, or ducks. We’re heading out now. Wish us wind and no rain!
